His Love Endures Forever

Though this is a history book, the writer (those of you with a fancy schmancy study bible... who got credit for writing this book?) hardly seems like an impartial observer. However, there's a verse in chapter 16 that really caught my attention. In the NIV translation at least, it seems like the author just can't contain his excitement:

With them were Heman and Jeduthun and the rest of those chosen and designated by name to give thanks to the LORD, "for his love endures forever."

No impartial historical reporting going on here. Whoever wrote this definitely wanted to convey that with all military and financial success in Israel at the time, God was the main charater of the story then as he is now.
